Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held extensive consultations with his Spanish counterpart, Jose Manuel El-Bares, during Shoukry’s current visit to Madrid.

Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, stated that important files on the discussion table included the distinguished bilateral relations and ways to advance them, the war in Gaza and efforts to achieve a ceasefire and contain the regional escalation, implementing the two-state solution and enhancing recognition of the Palestinian state.
