Uzbekistan's ambassador to Cairo, Mansur Bek Klychev, stressed the importance of the Egyptian mediation role in reaching a ceasefire and delivering aid to the Gaza Strip, explaining that his country stresses the necessity of reaching a comprehensive solution to the current crisis. It leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with its capital (East Jerusalem) in accordance with the relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
Regarding cultural cooperation, the Uzbek ambassador indicated that the year 2023 witnessed the organization of more than 30 events in the fields of culture, education, art and tourism, and Egyptian artistic, musical and folkloric groups participated in international and national festivals of various kinds in Uzbekistan, in addition to organizing meetings between Egyptian officials in the Ministries of Culture and Education. Higher education, tourism, and directors of major museums and libraries in the two countries.
