Media Production begins restoring 40 classic Egyptian cinema films owned by the Ministry of Culture

The Media Production City signed an agreement with the Holding Company for Investment in Cultural and Cinematic Fields, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, to restore 40 old feature films from the classics of Egyptian cinema, at the Center for the Revival of Audiovisual Heritage in the city, as a first phase of more than 300 films owned by the Ministry of Culture.

The contract was signed by Mr. Abdel Fattah Al-Gabali, Chairman of the City’s Board of Directors, and Engineer / Mohamed Abu Saada, Executive Managing Director of the Holding Company, in the presence of the distinguished artist, star / Hussein Fahmy, President of the Cairo International Film Festival.

Al-Jabali expressed his great welcome for the cooperation with the Holding Company of the Ministry of Culture in reviving these feature films, through the city’s Heritage Center, to which the city administration attaches great importance by equipping it with the latest international equipment applied in this field, and providing it with highly trained human elements, to keep pace with international standards. Specialized in this regard, the city also expressed its full readiness to enhance cooperation between the two sides in many related fields.

The engineer / Muhammad Abu Saada, the distinguished artist / Hussein Fahmy, and the accompanying delegation made an inspection tour of the Center for the Revival of Audiovisual Heritage.
