President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi confirmed that the state has made a great effort to create a huge sports infrastructure, most notably the Olympic City in the New Administrative Capital, which includes about 22 sports facilities in accordance with Olympic standards.
President Sisi said - during his inspection of the training of the first Egyptian national football team at the Olympic City Stadium: As the national team prepares to participate in the African Cup of Nations, the state has worked to raise the efficiency of 4,500 youth centers across the country, indicating that work is still underway to further develop the sports infrastructure.
The President was keen to shake hands with all the players and the technical staff, and urged them to make every effort possible and return with the African Cup of Nations.
