The value of trade between Egypt and African Union countries rose by 10.9% during the period from January to July 2026, reaching $6.1 billion—up from $5.5 billion during the same period in 2025—according to the Cabinet’s Media Center.
This growth reflects expanding economic and trade relations between Egypt and African nations, as well as increased market access for Egyptian products within the African Union, alongside a diversification of economic cooperation between the two sides.
The Media Center reported that Egyptian exports to African Union countries increased by 4.7%, reaching approximately $4.5 billion during the first seven months of 2026, compared to $4.3 billion during the same period the previous year.
