The Egyptian Red Crescent launched its 240th "Zad Al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza" convoy today, Wednesday, consisting of several trucks heading towards the Gaza Strip, as part of its role as a national mechanism for coordinating the entry of aid into the Strip.

The convoy included more than 2,318 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, including: more than 762 tons of food baskets and flour, more than 412 tons of medical and relief supplies and medicines, and more than 1,146 tons of petroleum products necessary for operating hospitals and vital facilities in the Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present on the border since the beginning of the crisis. The Rafah crossing has never been completely closed from the Egyptian side, and the organization has maintained its readiness at all logistical centers, continuing its tireless efforts to deliver over one million tons of humanitarian and relief aid, thanks to the efforts of more than 75,000 volunteers.
