The Egyptian Red Crescent launched its 228th "Provision of Dignity... From Egypt to Gaza" convoy today, Monday, carrying a number of trucks towards the Gaza Strip, as part of its role as the national mechanism for coordinating aid to the Strip.

The convoy included tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, including food baskets, flour, medical and relief supplies, as well as petroleum products necessary for operating hospitals and vital facilities in the Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present on the border since the beginning of the crisis, as the Rafah crossing has never been completely closed from the Egyptian side. It has maintained its readiness at all logistical centers and its continuous efforts to deliver humanitarian and relief aid, which has exceeded one million tons, thanks to the efforts of more than 65,000 volunteers.
