The Egyptian Red Crescent launched its 206th "Zad Al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza" convoy today, Tuesday, carrying a number of trucks towards the Gaza Strip, as part of its role as a national mechanism for coordinating aid to the Strip.
The convoy carried approximately 3,237 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, including: donated meat, food baskets, flour, medical supplies, relief materials, and petroleum products to operate hospitals and vital facilities in the Strip.
The Egyptian Red Crescent also reinforced its efforts to provide the people of the Strip with basic necessities such as clothing and tents to shelter those affected. The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present on the border since the beginning of the crisis, as the Rafah crossing has never been completely closed from the Egyptian side. It has maintained its readiness at all logistical centers and its continuous efforts to deliver humanitarian and relief aid, which has exceeded 990,000 tons, thanks to the efforts of more than 65,000 volunteers.
