President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the French company CMA CGM, on the sidelines of the Africa-France Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that the President welcomed the existing investment cooperation between Egypt and the company, which is one of the world's largest companies in the field of container shipping and maritime transport, praising its efforts in implementing numerous projects in Egypt's maritime and dry ports sector. His Excellency emphasized the company's prominent role in establishing and operating Egypt's first semi-automated container terminal, the Red Sea Container Terminal at Ain Sokhna Port. He stressed Egypt's keen interest in enhancing the company's operations and investments, particularly in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, to capitalize on the new investment incentives offered by the state, as well as the significant development witnessed in Egypt's maritime transport and infrastructure sectors.
