Dr. El-Hefny also received Ambassador Diakité and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry's headquarters to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various air transport activities, supporting the prospects for strategic partnership between Egypt and its African partners.
The meeting was attended by Eng. Amr Nagaty, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and Lamia Sami, Director General of International Relations at the Ministry.
At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Sameh El-Hefny welcomed the Senegalese Ambassador, emphasizing that the Ministry of Civil Aviation places great importance on strengthening cooperation frameworks with its African brothers. This aligns with the political leadership's directives to enhance integration with African nations and provide all forms of support and expertise to contribute to a comprehensive renaissance of the aviation sector across the continent.
The meeting also addressed ways to enhance air connectivity between Egypt and Senegal through EgyptAir and Air Cairo, reflecting the state's commitment to expanding its network, boosting air traffic and cargo, and promoting joint investment between the two countries.
