President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi warned of the negative economic repercussions of war at the regional and international levels, particularly concerning rising energy prices and supply chains.

This came during a phone call President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today from Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that the call included praise from both the President and the Malaysian Prime Minister for the strong historical relations between Egypt and Malaysia. The two leaders also exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

The President emphasized Egypt's firm stance calling for de-escalation and a ceasefire, reiterating Egypt's condemnation of attacks on brotherly Arab states and its categorical rejection of any infringement upon their stability or violation of their sovereignty under any pretext.
