President Tebboune praised the historical relations between Egypt and Algeria, saying, "Our relations with sister Egypt extend for nearly 70 years of integration, and whatever affects it affects us."
This came during a periodic meeting held by President Tebboune last night with representatives of Algerian media outlets, which was broadcast on television and radio channels. During the meeting, he discussed Algeria's relations with many neighboring countries and other sisterly and friendly nations.
The Algerian President expressed his country's continued desire to always be a force for stability, given the positive relations it enjoys with its neighbors. He noted the role played by the tripartite mechanism of neighboring countries (Algeria, Egypt, and Tunisia) and the periodic meetings of their foreign ministers regarding the situation in Libya. He stressed the necessity of allowing Libyans to determine their country's future and choose their representatives, highlighting the importance of legislative elections in this process, as emphasized by the United Nations.
