Today, Sunday, February 8th, marks the 95th anniversary of the birth of the great artist Shadia.
She is one of the greatest artistic figures in Egyptian history, a multi-talented artist and a rare individual.
Shadia, who accompanied us in every celebration with a voice as rich as the Nile, singing "Oh my beloved Egypt, oh Egypt," is remembered by Egypt every day, even after her passing. In every city, town, and village, the echo of their voices resonates, chanting "Oh my beloved Egypt," remembering Shadia, who retired and disappeared from public view for nearly three decades at the end of her life, but never from our hearts.
