The Moroccan organizing committee for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, in agreement with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), will allow free entry for fans approximately twenty minutes after kickoff, with the aim of filling the stands for some matches, according to a source within CAF who spoke to AFP.
On Wednesday evening, during the second match held at the Grand Stade d'Agadir (capacity 45,000) between Cameroon and Gabon, the stands were nearly empty while the two teams warmed up before kickoff.
Despite the relentless heavy rain that battered the coastal city, the stands were noticeably full during the first half, according to an AFP journalist, with attendance reaching 35,200 spectators.
