Foreign Minister Receives Restored Historical Documents, Records, and Maps at the National Library and Archives

Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Fouad Henou, Minister of Culture, visited the National Library and Archives on Tuesday, accompanied by Dr. Osama Talaat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Library and Archives. They inspected the document viewing rooms, the digitization center, and the restoration laboratories, and reviewed the technical capabilities used in preserving and restoring official documents and records.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed the commitment to continuing fruitful cooperation with the National Library and Archives on projects to restore and digitize historically valuable documents, treaties, and maps held by the Ministry, thus contributing to their preservation and facilitating access to them. He also commended the existing cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture, emphasizing the importance of supporting the cultural component of diplomatic work as a fundamental pillar and vital tool of Egyptian foreign policy.
