On the occasion of Easter and Sham El Nessim, the Central Bank of Egypt has decided to suspend work at all banks operating in Egypt on Sunday and Monday, April 20-21, 2025. Work will resume on the morning of Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

This year, the Sham El Nessim holiday is scheduled to fall on Monday, April 21, 2025. It is the first holiday of April following Eid al-Fitr, followed by the Sinai Liberation Day holiday on Friday, April 25.
