President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in their second country, Egypt.

He stressed that there is a solid partnership with Greece and Cyprus to enhance stability in the region, expressing his appreciation for the positions of Cyprus and Greece in supporting the Palestinian cause.

President El-Sisi continued: "The tripartite summit embodies the historical relations that unite our peoples."

This came during Cairo's hosting of a tripartite summit between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus, which brings together President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

This is the tenth summit between the leaders of the three countries, since the establishment of the tripartite cooperation mechanism, which began with the holding of the first tripartite summit in Cairo in 2014, and then the summits in the capitals of the three countries followed, to support the cooperation mechanism and discuss regional and international issues of common interest.
