Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, received "Stefan Gimbert", Regional Director of the World Bank in Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti and his accompanying delegation, to review the executive status of ongoing projects, and open new cooperation horizons targeting the human development file, in conjunction with the Egyptian state's interest in building and developing the Egyptian person.
"Abdel Ghaffar" indicated that the meeting discussed cooperation in intensifying vocational training, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, in addition to forming a committee that includes representatives of the ministries - on the sidelines of the second edition of the International Conference on Population, Health and Development - to develop mechanisms and strategies for human development, as well as discussing support to accelerate the executive plan for the national population strategy.
Abdel Ghaffar noted that the meeting discussed ways of cooperation with the World Bank in providing support to mitigate risks for vulnerable groups in climate change programs, and supporting climate change programs with the health sector, as the Climate Change Conference "COP 29" is scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan.
