Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participates in the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting, scheduled to be held today and tomorrow, in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.

Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the Egyptian participation comes in response to the invitation extended by the Brazilian presidency of the group to Egypt to participate in its meetings during the current year. This is Egypt’s fourth participation, as it previously participated three times as a guest of the group, during the years 2016. And 2019 and 2023.
