Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates, participated on Wednesday in a ministerial roundtable on "Job Creation," attended by World Bank Group President Ajay Banga. During the meeting, the Minister delivered an address emphasizing that job creation must remain at the forefront of development priorities. He stressed the necessity of directing development financing toward achieving tangible results—specifically the provision of genuine, sustainable employment opportunities—thereby contributing to increased productivity and enhanced competitiveness.
The Foreign Minister outlined Egypt’s experience in accelerating the implementation of development projects, explaining that the country employs institutional mechanisms to monitor project execution and overcome obstacles. These include a presidential committee tasked with overseeing national projects and coordinating among relevant government agencies to remove impediments, ensuring the effective utilization of funds and their translation into tangible development outcomes.
