The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, and the President of Cairo University, Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, inaugurated today, Monday, the development and modernization works at several health facilities within Qasr El-Aini Hospitals. The inauguration was attended by Dr. Hossam Salah, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hospitals; Dr. Omar Sherif Omar, Secretary of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals; Dr. Hossam Hosny, Executive Director of the Hospitals; and a number of university and hospital leaders.
The visit included the inauguration and inspection of development work at Abu El Reesh Children's Hospital, which has a capacity of 360 beds. The hospital's power station was also inaugurated. The specialized clinics at the hospital receive more than 4,000 patients monthly. The strategic power station at Abu El Reesh Children's Hospital, costing a total of 75 million Egyptian pounds and funded by the hospital's Zakat Committee, has been fully automated and expanded.
The university president emphasized the university's commitment to providing a comprehensive educational environment for students, ensuring a suitable atmosphere for academic achievement and various student activities. He noted that the university prioritizes student welfare, contributing to enhancing the student experience and achieving academic excellence.
