Abdel Fattah El-Gebaly, Chairman and Managing Director of Media Production City and President of the International Academy of Engineering and Media Sciences, inaugurated the "First Scientific Conference for Interdisciplinary Studies," organized by the Academy under the title "Artificial Intelligence and the Jobs of the Future: A Foresight Perspective." The conference featured a distinguished group of leading academics, experts, and specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, including Professor Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, Director of the International Academy of Engineering and Media Sciences and Conference Chair; Professor Dr. Sami El-Sherif, Secretary General of the Association of Islamic Universities and former President of the Radio and Television Union; Professor Dr. Mona Hegras, Assistant Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities; and Professor Dr. Magdy Abdel Qader, Head of the Business Studies Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities.

The conference will discuss several key themes, most notably artificial intelligence, emerging future jobs across various fields, the new jobs created by these technologies, and the crucial role of AI in training and preparing individuals for the professions of the future. The conference serves as a distinguished scientific platform, bringing together three of the most vital disciplines: engineering, media studies, and business administration.

In his opening remarks, Al-Jabali welcomed the participants to this important scientific gathering, congratulating the organizers on their choice of artificial intelligence and future jobs as the conference theme. He noted that the timing of the conference is particularly relevant as it coincides with Labor Day and has become a global topic of discussion amidst rapidly evolving demographic and economic challenges, including recurring global crises. He pointed out that, under these circumstances, countries face increasing pressure to provide decent and sustainable employment opportunities and ensure job security in the context of the current technological revolution, especially artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Al-Jabali added that Egypt, situated at the heart of current events, has no option but to build and develop a strong production base and local technological capabilities if it wants to achieve a major economic leap and secure its place on the international stage. This will enable it to adapt to and integrate modern technologies into its national economy.

In closing, Al-Jabali expressed his hope that the conference and its discussions would yield results on how to bring about the necessary transformation in Egyptian society, making it more efficient and capable of adapting to and integrating modern technologies into the national economy, and preparing it to face these challenges. For his part, Dr. Adel Abdel Ghaffar, Director of the International Academy of Engineering and Media Sciences, pointed out that the conference addresses a topic of global interest, highlighting the significant impact of artificial intelligence on future jobs and the importance of education and future skills, which educational programs should focus on in this regard. He noted the crucial role of the conference in presenting effective forward-looking visions in the field of artificial intelligence. Abdel Ghaffar thanked the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Media Production City for his continuous support of the Academy and his efforts to elevate its status as one of the most important scientific academies in Egypt.

Professor Dr. Mona Hegras, Assistant Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, emphasized the importance of the issues raised by the conference, which reflect the changing nature of the labor market and production patterns. She explained that the role of universities is no longer limited to transmitting knowledge, but must extend to building individuals capable of understanding and absorbing new developments. She also stressed the important role played by the Supreme Council of Universities in this matter. In his address, Professor Dr. Sami El-Sherif, Secretary General of the Association of Islamic Universities and former President of the Egyptian Radio and Television Union, emphasized the importance of the conference's topic, which is of global concern, and the impact of artificial intelligence on human life. He noted that artificial intelligence is now integrated into all aspects of life, stressing the need for media studies to establish guidelines for its use in media work.

In conclusion, Professor Dr. Magdi Abdel-Qader, Head of the Business Studies Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities, stated that the conference's most distinctive feature is its focus on the future roles and future prospects of universities, while also considering the paramount importance of information technology, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence.
