Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment and Head of the Supreme Committee for Public Shop Licensing, announced the closing times for shops, restaurants, and cafes during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH, as an exception to the hours stipulated in Committee Decision No. 456 of 2020.
Dr. Awad indicated that the decision comes within the framework of the government's commitment to providing a suitable environment for citizens during the holy month, while achieving a balance between the requirements of economic activity and maintaining public order.
The Minister of Local Development and Environment explained that, according to the decision, shops, malls, restaurants, cafes, and bazaars will close at 2:00 AM daily during Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr holiday this year (1447 AH). Takeaway and home delivery services will continue to operate 24 hours a day for restaurants and cafes. Workshops located within residential areas must close at 10:00 PM daily, with the exception of workshops located on roads and at gas stations.
