Egypt strongly condemned the repeated attacks targeting humanitarian aid convoys and medical facilities in the sisterly Republic of Sudan, most recently the drone attack on a World Food Programme convoy in North Kordofan State, which resulted in the death of one aid worker, injuries to others, and the destruction of food aid intended for displaced families. This follows a similar incident in the same state that claimed the lives of 24 civilians, representing a dangerous continuation of attacks targeting humanitarian corridors and obstructing relief efforts.

Egypt, in a press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, condemned the attack on a medical facility in the Kordofan region, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries, including medical personnel. The statement described the attack as a grave violation of international humanitarian law, which guarantees full protection for civilians, health facilities, and medical and humanitarian workers, and categorically prohibits targeting them under any pretext.
