The Cairo International Book Fair 2026 opens its doors to the public today, Thursday, at the International Exhibition Grounds in New Cairo, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
The fair will continue to operate from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, except on Thursdays and Fridays when it will close at 9:00 PM, from January 22nd to February 3rd, 2026.
The renowned writer Naguib Mahfouz has been chosen as the "Personality of the Fair" in celebration of his enduring literary value and pivotal role in enriching the Arabic novel. The celebrated artist Mohi El-Din El-Labbad has been selected as the "Children's Book Fair Personality" in recognition of his pioneering career in the world of children's illustration.
