President El-Sisi received Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, on Monday. The meeting was also attended by Minister Hassan Rashad, Head of the General Intelligence Directorate; Lieutenant General Khaled Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Libyan National Army; and Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that the meeting emphasized the depth and unique nature of Egyptian-Libyan relations. The President stressed Egypt's full support for the sovereignty, stability, unity, and territorial integrity of Libya, commending the pivotal role of the Libyan National Army's General Command in this regard. He also emphasized the necessity of confronting any foreign interference and working to expel all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya.
