In a large-scale security operation that once again demonstrates the vigilance of the Ministry of Interior's agencies and their ability to tighten security control on Egyptian streets, security agencies across the country launched a massive, 24-hour security campaign, yielding significant results in controlling crime and deterring lawbreakers. The security strikes sent decisive messages to criminal elements. The forces were able to arrest 208 drug cases involving 224 suspects. Huge quantities of white and colored drugs were seized, including nearly 150 kg of hashish, more than 117 kg of heroin, 25 kg of marijuana, 11 kg of hydro, 5 kg of ice, 3 kg of powder, 2 kg of shabu, 1 kg of ecstasy, 1 kg of cocaine, 700 grams of Virginia, 7 drug patches, and 1,657 narcotic pills.
