Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, said that the journey of the "New Republic" is launched within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030 to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development. The National Industrial Strategy has emerged from it, aiming to achieve several strategic objectives, including:

Raising the industrial sector's contribution to the gross domestic product from 14% to 20% annually by 2030, increasing the contribution of green industries to the GDP, and doubling job opportunities in the industrial sector from 3.5 million to 7 million. This will also include providing technical support to small factories, integrating them into the formal economy, and working to resolve the problems of struggling factories and those that have ceased production.
