Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, received Johann Wadephul, German Foreign Minister, today, Friday, to hold political consultations on bilateral relations between Egypt and Germany and to exchange views on regional and international developments. Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Minister Abdel Aty emphasized, during the consultations, the depth of relations between the two countries, as reflected in the phone call between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on June 12. He emphasized the importance of working to advance all aspects of bilateral relations, particularly economic, trade, and investment relations, in light of the economic reforms Egypt has undertaken recently. These reforms provide promising investment opportunities for German companies, the number of which exceeds 1,600 operating in Egypt. He expressed Egypt's interest in attracting more German investments in Egypt.
