The US Embassy stated on its X social media page that the report, which referred to alleged plans to transfer Gaza residents to Libya, was "baseless," according to Cairo News. US President Donald Trump has previously said he wants the United States to take control of the Gaza Strip and deport its residents elsewhere. The Palestinians strongly reject any plan that would involve them leaving Gaza.
