The Patriarchs of the three Eastern Orthodox Churches in the Middle East held their fifteenth regular meeting on Saturday at the Logos Center at the Monastery of St. Bishoy in Wadi El Natrun, hosted by the Coptic Orthodox Church.
The fifteenth meeting was attended by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark; Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East of the Syriac Orthodox Church and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church; Catholicos Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Orthodox Church of Cilicia; and members of the Standing Committee for the Meetings of Church Leaders.
The closing statement of the meeting emphasized the need to work continuously for peace and justice, engage in dialogue with our fellow human beings, and promote spiritual and moral values, mutual understanding, and respect.
