Ambassador Ragy El-Etreby, the President's Personal Representative and Assistant Foreign Minister, participated in the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting on behalf of Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, at the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the bloc.
Ambassador El-Etreby stated that the meeting emphasized the constants of the Egyptian position regarding the need to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Palestinian territories, as well as the ongoing Israeli violations against Lebanon and Syria, to allow the entry of necessary humanitarian aid into Gaza, and to completely reject any policies or practices aimed at displacing Palestinians from their lands. He explained that the meeting witnessed a great welcome for Egypt's strenuous and continuous efforts to achieve a ceasefire and mobilize international support for the Arab-Islamic plan to rebuild the Gaza Strip.
