In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, Egypt welcomed the European Commission's announcement of a multi-year financial programme for Palestinian recovery, estimated at €1.6 billion. This programme reflects the European Union's support for the Palestinian Authority and the empowerment of its institutions, and contributes to achieving the aspirations of the Palestinian people and meeting their legitimate needs in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Egypt Looks Forward to Continued European Support for the Palestinian Authority

Egypt expressed its aspiration for the European Union to continue its support for the Palestinian Authority and to participate effectively and constructively in the Gaza Early Recovery and Reconstruction Conference, which Egypt is scheduled to host in cooperation with the United Nations and the Palestinian government.
