Dr. Ramadan Abdullah Al-Sawy, Vice President of Al-Azhar University for Lower Egypt, stressed the importance of the spiritual aspects of fasting, during the Islamic Thought Forum at Al-Hussein Mosque, which was organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments, and attended by a group of scholars from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

He stressed that worship and good manners are two sides of the same coin, the goal of which is the righteous individual who fears and fears God, and this is the purpose of worship, as prayer prevents indecency and wrongdoing, as it is closeness to God and elevation of morals; therefore, God Almighty said: "And prostrate and draw near."
