Egypt, represented by its Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, delivered a statement on behalf of 48 countries during the organizational session of the United Nations Water Conference scheduled to be held in 2026.
Egypt stressed the importance of agreeing on comprehensive and multi-sectoral topics related to the interactive dialogues scheduled for the 2026 conference, and building on what was discussed at the 2023 conference, in addition to stressing the need to start preparing for the future of the water issue at the United Nations after 2028 and employing the role of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Water.
