President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in the Russian Federation today, Tuesday, to participate in the BRICS Summit, held in the city of Kazan.

The summit will witness - for the first time - Egypt's participation as a member of the group, since its official joining at the beginning of this year.

During the summit, the President will review Egypt's vision and positions on a number of important international and regional topics and issues, especially ways to enhance cooperation between the group's countries to ensure the development of multilateral action and contribute to addressing the complex challenges facing the world politically and economically, as well as reforming the global financial structure to achieve the desired balance, especially with regard to strengthening the voice and interests of developing countries in various international and regional forums, in light of the growing negative effects of international conflicts and crises on the development process in developing countries.

The President's interventions will also address climate change issues and ways to support joint economic and development cooperation between the group's countries.
