The Cabinet approved the draft decision of the Prime Minister to establish some technological universities in Fayoum and Assiut governorates, which stipulates the establishment of Fayoum International Technological University, subject to the supervision of Fayoum University, to support the completion of its organizational and administrative structure.

The draft decision of the Prime Minister to amend some provisions of Prime Ministerial Decision No. 2722 of 2022 establishing the International Technological University of Egypt was also approved, which stipulates amending the name of "Egypt International Technological University" to "Helwan International Technological University"; and transferring supervision of the university to Helwan University, to support the completion of its organizational and administrative structure, in light of Helwan University's qualified cadres in the field of technological, vocational and applied education, noting that supervision of the new technological universities will be for one academic year only.
