Dr. Abbas Hajj Hassan, the caretaker government's Lebanese Minister of Agriculture, met with Dr. Sayed Khalifa, the head of the Egyptian Agricultural Syndicate, to discuss participation in the implementation of the first Arab project to promote the bee industry to serve Arab food security under the auspices of the League of Arab States, represented by the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD). In addition, Arab governments, agricultural unions, and the Arab Beekeepers Union are collaborating to develop a participatory Arab vision.
In light of the ramifications of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the rise in global production requirements, the Lebanese minister expressed his support for these trends that serve Arab aspirations for food security.
