Social Solidarity Minister Nevin El-Kabbaj stressed that Egypt's hosting of the COP27 climate summit represents a qualitative leap in the issue of awareness of environmental issues and the beginning of their practical practice, adding that the summit is an opportunity to discuss many issues that have a great impact on the world.
Al-Kabbaj said - in exclusive statements to the UAE "Al-Ittihad", on the sidelines of the climate summit in Sharm el-Sheikh - that this summit seeks to achieve one of the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations, and Egypt seeks to achieve it until 2030, explaining that there is more than one goal during this summit. Which is not limited to the environment, but includes health, food security, environmental sustainability, protection of small farmers and caring families, international relations, and the impact of the global and national economy on local communities.
