Dr. Alok Sharma, President of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26), expressed his appreciation for the great efforts made by Egypt to host the twenty-seventh session of the Conference (COP27), stressing that there is an international consensus on the need for cooperation to confront climate change.

In his speech during the opening procedural session of the 27th session of the Climate Change Conference held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Sharma thanked Egypt for the warm welcome, noting that the United Kingdom provided all its efforts during the presidency of (COP26) where countries met last November under the conditions of Despite the often profound differences, the leaders acknowledged the need for cooperation in the field of the environment.
