Today is International Day of the United Nations, as the globe commemorates the 77th anniversary of the entrance into force of the United Nations Charter.
In this respect, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official spokesman, noted, "Egypt has always been one of the organization's founding fathers and supporters of its pioneering role in resolving disputes and establishing peace. What our world needs right now is to defend the ideals and principles of this charter."
