The Ministry of Environment, through the project of the Egyptian-Italian Environmental Cooperation Programme, the third phase, organized a training program on the latest mechanisms for designing handicraft and heritage products in the Wadi El-Gamal Reserve to increase the quality of traditional handicraft products and create a product that meets the aspirations of the tourist and links it to the heritage of the reserves and introduces them to them, with the participation of experts in the design of heritage and tourism products that reflect The environmental, cultural and natural character of the reserve.

Dr. Yasmine Fouad explained that the program aims to train a number of girls from the villages of Abu Ghosoun - Hamata - Baranes, working in the handicraft sector, on modern methods of designing handicrafts to achieve integration between preserving the traditional heritage of the local community and modern methods of the product to emphasize the importance of Investing in people, especially women, for the benefit of preserving and protecting the natural resources of the region.
