Dr. Hani Swailem, Minister of Water Resources and
Irrigation, announced the launch of Egypt - in cooperation with many
international partners - an international initiative to adapt the water sector
to climate changes, during the activities of the COP27 climate conference.
Swailem stressed the importance of supporting this
initiative, which deals with water and climate challenges at the global level,
especially since the negative effects of climate change affect all countries,
whether developed or developing, noting the importance of giving priority to
developing countries, which are considered the least resilient in facing
climate changes.
