President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived at the Al-Manara Convention Center in the Fifth Settlement, the headquarters of the Ministry of Awqaf's commemoration of the Prophet's birthday.
President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi was greeted by Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, and Minister of Endowments, Dr. Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa upon his arrival.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Endowments, Dr. Shawky Allam, Mufti of the Republic, ministers, prominent state officials and leaders, and government, political, and religious personalities are expected to attend the ceremony.
The President plans to commemorate eight religious academics from home and abroad who have inspired their efforts to promote the tolerance of moderate Islam, including Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem, Professor of Hadith and related Sciences at Al-Azhar University and member of the Council of Senior Scholars.
