Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, received, yesterday evening, the representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” in Egypt, Mr. Jeremy Hopkins and his accompanying delegation, at the Ministry’s general office.
The minister praised the role of UNICEF in Egypt and its efforts to support the services provided by the ministry, praising the fruitful cooperation between the two sides during the past period in programs aimed at promoting maternal and child health in Egypt.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the minister discussed cooperation with UNICEF in technical support to develop policies, strategies and implementation plans for children's health programs that are provided through primary care facilities.
