Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing for Infrastructure Affairs, met with a European Investment Bank delegation led by the Director of Finance in European Neighborhood Countries, and, in the presence of representatives from the Ministry's Project Management Unit, to discuss the status of ongoing drinking water and sanitation projects, as well as to review aspects of cooperation with the Bank.
Dr. Sayed Ismail explained that during the meeting, the position of finalising the procedures and approvals of the ministry's agreement with the European Investment Bank to establish a sewage treatment plant in Helwan was reviewed, as the project aims to increase the capacity of the treatment plant by 250 thousand m3 / day, and raise the degree of treatment.
