Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Planning and
Economic Development Dr Hala Al-Saeed met with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi
today.
The discussion focused on "following up on the growth
of economic indicators," according to the Presidency of the Republic's
official spokeswoman.
Dr Hala Al-Saeed reviewed the evolution of economic
indicators globally in light of their impact on numerous current international
variables, chief among which are the effects of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis
and the Corona pandemic that occurred before that. She noted that Egypt had succeeded
in achieving a high positive growth rate during the previous fiscal year
2022/2021, and that Given the safe and balanced course of the Egyptian economy
that the state followed during the last period, And the cohesion and
steadfastness it showed in dealing with those circumstances and challenges cast
a negative shadow on global economic growth, which led to a slowdown in
economic activity and an increase in inflation rates worldwide, as well as the
record rise in food and energy prices.
