Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met with Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, this evening; In order to follow up on the preparations currently underway; For Egypt to host the Egypt-ICF 2022 Forum, in its second edition, and the meeting of African Ministers of Economy, Finance and Environment, scheduled to be held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, from 7-9 September, in the New Administrative Capital. .
During the meeting, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, briefed the Prime Minister on the Ministry's efforts in cooperation with ministries and stakeholders; In order to produce a good outcome from the second session of the Forum "Egypt-ICF 2022", noting that there is high-level international participation of climate influencers, heads of international and regional financial institutions and United Nations officials.
Several African ministers would participate in that forum with clear contributions; In order to generate constructive recommendations and ideas on development priorities at the level of climate action and innovative and mixed financing, as well as effective discussions on food security efforts, focusing in particular on the continent of Africa, and stimulating private sector participation in green economy transition efforts, especially as the Forum takes place only 60 days before the Climate Conference.
On the events of the Forum, the Minister of International Cooperation noted that this year the Forum has many various intensive events. Of these, 4 were high-level round tables highlighting national efforts to support climate action and 6 panel discussions on several topics that promote inclusive and sustainable development, 8 workshops on various challenges and themes in support of green transformation efforts regionally and internationally s Development ", noting that for the first time the Forum has 3 two-day training events to build capacity and share knowledge and expertise.
