Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs, praised the leadership of US President Donald Trump, which was a key factor in ending the war in Gaza. He noted that Egypt relies on President Trump's commitment to implementing his vision to end wars and conflicts around the world, including in Africa. He expressed his aspiration to work with the US administration to end and resolve conflicts on the continent and to explore opportunities for cooperation in development, economic, and investment fields, especially given Egypt's leading role in establishing stability, security, and development in Africa. He also highlighted Egypt's effective executive arms, such as the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development and the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping, and Peacebuilding, which enhances the prospects for establishing a trilateral Egyptian-American partnership on the continent.
He also stressed the importance of concerted efforts to achieve a humanitarian truce and a ceasefire throughout Sudan, paving the way for a comprehensive political process in the country.
