Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aty, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, reviewed the position of the projects being implemented to protect the Egyptian beaches.
This came during the periodic meeting of the Minister of Irrigation with the executive leadership of the Ministry; To follow up the progress of work in the implementation of projects in the governorates.
The Ministry of Irrigation explained the implementation of the Egyptian General Authority for the Protection of Beaches, the project to protect the Corniche and the beaches of Alexandria, protect the Qaitbay Citadel, protect and strengthen the archaeological sea wall in the park, and protect the scaffolding area in front of the naval forces in Abu Qir Bay.
The authority is also implementing the project of dredging the mouth of the Nile in the Rashid branch in the governorates of Kafr El-Sheikh and Beheira, a project to protect the coastal area north of Birkat Ghalioun, a project to protect low-lying areas from west of Burullus to the mouth of Rashid branch, and a project to protect low-lying areas from the western entrance to Gamasa city to the west of New Mansoura.
